We are installing rope light under the eaves along the front of our house, and run into a bit of a snag.  There is a gap of about three feet between the roof of the garage and the roof of the front porch/living room.  The rope light is pretty obvious at that point, and detracts from the otherwise soft lighting.

We can't cap the first line and start a second without creating a whole new set of problems, so we would prefer to keeep it a continious run.

Does anyone have any hints or tricks to hide rope lighting?  Is there a plastic tube that can snap over it and perhaps even be painted to match the house?  Any other ideas?

Thanks!

I am curious why adding an extension cable would cause any additional problems. They are available from Birddog.
But yes Birddog offers rope light blackout tubing. http://www.birddogdistributing.com/rope-light-blackout-tubing-p-783.html
It is also available from other sources such as automotive parts stores and electronics parts stores.

 Shocked

Not sure why I didn't see those before, must have been distracted by everything offered on the site.  Ah well, I've plenty of the blackout tubing round, which should work fine.

Thanks again.   Cheesy

Does anyone have "rope access"  insurance.  I have been shopping around for months and can find no company to carry this.  Any suggestions??
