I want to run chasing lights around the perimeter of a game room I am doing in a 1950's theme. The room is approximately 16 feet on two walls and 30 feet on the other two walls for a total of 92 feet. If I bought a 150' spool of lighting along with the controller would I have everything I needed to do the job. How many outlets would I have to have? Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dina,

If you purchase a full spool (usually 150' or more) you should get 3 power cords and accessories.  That should be more than you need to do that length. In fact you can run up to 150 feet  of rope light on one power cord. Thai is more than enough to do the area you described. The only question I would have is about mounting the light. The rope light spool usually includes a pack of 50 clips. Depending on your installation you may want more clips or you may possibly want to go with clear track. Track is more expensive, but keeps your rope light perfectly straight. With the clips you can get some sag.

Sounds like a very nice decorating scheme. You should consider that you may have some excess rope light to deal with. Do not bunch up rope light or roll up excess into a coil because it will get very warm at that point. Either cut off the excess rope per instructions included and put a cap on the exposed end. Caps are also supplied with a reel of rope. Or you can get creative and continue the rope lighting till you use it all.
