Long runs of 12 or 24 volt rope light
I would like to attach rope lighting to my screen enclosure around my pool, it is a 30' wide by 40' long rectangle. I think 12 or 24 volt would be the best for safety but how can I get these length of runs back to the controller at the house to plug into the electric outlet?
Also can I attach a controller to dim and also flash or chase?
I would appreciate any good ideas!

Re: Long runs of 12 or 24 volt rope light
Low voltage is probably not going to work for you as 12 and 24 volt have a max run of 20' and 40' respectively. Also, you would need a transformer or another low voltage power supply. I recommend using the standard 120 volt and sealing the connections with rope light pvc sealant or with silicone. You can then run one piece of rope light all the way around your enclosure.
To chase you would need 3 wire rope lights and a chasing controller. You can flash or fade 2-wire rope lights by using an optional controller.

What ever plan you decide on, 120 or 24 or 12 volt lighting, always plug your controller or rope lights into a GFI certified outlet when using them outside. If you don
