Dance Floor

Hi, Newbee here looking for some advice so please don't flame too much.

I have the whole pub theme going on in the basement. I have a dance floor that I wanted to do some lightig effects.

I was thinking about putting in 3 runs of rope lights in 3 colors (Red, Green, Blue) then using a sound activated controller to illuminate each.

I also wanted to do some chasing effects but that is where my quandry comes in.
To do a chasing effect I need either a 3 wire or 5 wire rope light.

However if I have 3 ropes and I have not found any controllers that will let me do chasing with each string individually.

I am looking for either suggestions as to what contoller to buy as perhaps I am over looking something or perhaps some advice as how to do this differently.
